What are your broken soundtracks about money? That’s a question best-selling author Jon Acuff asked 10,000 people while researching the topic of mindset for his book, Soundtracks: The Surprising Solution to Overthinking.
“After thousands of hours on the subject, I can say without a shred of doubt that people have more broken soundtracks about money than any other issue,” Acuff wrote in a LinkedIn post recently. “Some people unknowingly listen to the soundtrack, ‘I can't be more successful than my parents.’ Or ‘Mo' Money, Mo' Problems.’ That one is particularly toxic because it tells you that more success equals more stress which leads to a lot of self-sabotage.”
Have you ever heard a broken soundtrack about money or have one yourself? If you have negative thoughts about money or you’re an overthinker in general, consider picking up Acuff’s latest book.
