Jim Mailliard focuses his practice on high net-worth clientele through design, implementation, and monitoring of diversified investment portfolios.
Prior to joining Perspective Financial Services in 2007, he worked in a variety of financial planning, investment advisory, and management roles for J.P. Morgan Private Client Services, Miller/Russell and Associates, Ernst & Young, and KPMG. He earned a master’s of business administration (MBA) degree in finance and investments from Indiana University and a bachelor’s degree in engineering with honors from Iowa State University.
Jim is active with church and community organizations. In January 2020, he was elected board treasurer and finance committee chair for Westminster Village, Inc., Scottsdale’s only not-for-profit continuing-care retirement community. He has served as a member of the finance committee there since 2018.
Fitness and health are important to Jim, and hot yoga is one way he devotes time to these priorities each day.
“It’s invigorating and physically challenging. It just makes me feel good about myself,” he said. “I’m not patient enough to do it on my own, so I go to formal classes. I’ve never aspired to be a yoga instructor, but I can see how being a financial advisor is similar in terms of helping clients make positive change in their lives.”
