In the 1990s, Marc served in the U.S. Air Force as an F-16 crew chief and attained the rank of Staff Sargent. The military fueled his passion for aviation and travel, taking him to Thailand, Denmark, Guam, Hawaii, and Alaska.
“I loved every minute of it,” he says. “I have great memories from that time in my life. It’s one of the best things I ever did.”
After six years in the USAF, Marc was eager to begin a career in the investment world, which he believed would open more doors for career-growth opportunity.
“Following investments was already a hobby of mine, and I knew I wanted to work with people. The give-and-take of working with clients as an investment advisor was really a natural progression and great fit for me,” he says.
Marc earned a bachelor's degree in economics at Illinois State University and settled into a position at Northern Trust Securities in his home state of Illinois. He relocated to Phoenix in 2008 to open the Northern Trust Gainey Ranch office. He also worked with Your Source Financial before joining the Perspective team in the spring of 2023.
The year-round outdoor lifestyle of the Valley quickly won Marc over. He’s an avid hiker and makes a point to reach the highest peak in every place he travels (30 states, multiple international locales, and counting). He’s also a huge sports fan, supporting all the local professional teams and student teams at Arizona State University. He is especially passionate about the Arizona Cardinals and Diamondbacks.
